Privacy and cookies policy
This site is run by the Fitzwilliam String Quartet. This page explains, in plain language, what happens to your information when you visit. If you have any questions, email info@fitzwilliamquartet.com.
What we collect
Nothing, on purpose. The site has no accounts, no advertising and no analytics or tracking tools, and it does not set tracking or advertising cookies.
Like any website, the company that hosts it keeps standard technical logs (such as your IP address and the pages requested) for security and to keep the site running. We do not use these logs to identify you.
Cookies and similar storage
We do not set cookies. When you close the notice at the bottom of the page, your browser remembers that you have done so, using a small piece of storage on your own device, so the notice does not keep reappearing. You can clear this at any time in your browser settings.
YouTube videos
Videos are loaded from YouTube only when you press play, using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. Once you press play, YouTube (Google) may set cookies and collect information in line with Google's privacy policy. If you do not press play, nothing is loaded from YouTube.
If you contact us
If you send us an email, we use your details only to reply to you and, where relevant, to arrange tickets, courses or bookings. We do not sell or share them, and we keep them only as long as we need to.
Links to other sites
The site links to other websites, such as ticket sellers, venues and social media. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to how we use it. Email us and we will respond. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
